Ken Robbins 1958 -
Born in Chicago, Ken Robbins began painting at age 9 and was enrolled at the prestigious Art Institute of Chicago. His interest in the visual arts continued through his schooling and college years at the University of Minnesota. After college, Ken embarked on a career in the performing arts producing live events and business theater for Fortune 500 companies. In 1993, Ken was mentored by sculptor & direct carver Lorrie Goulet at the Art Student's League New York City and later at the Lorrie Goulet Studio in Chelsea. Relocated to Santa Monica, Ken enrolled at Santa Monica College under the advisory of Don Hartman and Terri Bromberg. Today Ken continues to sculpt at his home studio a converted grain bin in Columbia Kentucky.
